My name is Spottie! I am a 8 months-old female puppy from the streets of Doha Qatar. I am petite and weigh just 30 pounds full grown. I arrived into Chicago on May 24, 2019. I am now fostered in Wadsworth, IL. I have a lot of personality and a lot of love to give. I promise to keep you entertained and smothered with love for the rest of my life. I am a very loyal and affectionate girl and I can’t wait to meet you. Here is my story of survival. Thanks for reading.
When I was only few weeks-old, I was abandoned with my siblings.. We were alone and frightened as our mother wasn’t around. We didn’t know why she left us, but I know she loved us very much, and she would not have abandoned us if she could have prevented it.
Luckily for me
and my siblings, a compassionate woman from Qatar Paws Rescue came and picked
us up. I am so thankful to our kind rescuer; if she hadn’t arrived when
she did, I don’t know that we would be alive
today. We were so scared and hungry!
Now, we are feeling much healthier
after being vetted and given proper food and care. I live with a wonderful foster family, and
they tell me that they want me to live a
fulfilled life with a loving family where I can be the center of their attention. It makes me sad to think of leaving
my foster family – I will miss them, and they will miss me very much – but, I
know I can trust them. I’m not sure what
that is, but I hope to find out!
I love to play
with dogs and humans. I have some
neighbor K-9 friends
who I visit sometimes , and we play togethe. I am working on my behaviour, and I walk
perfectly on the leash. Also, I am a clean girl who doesn’t leave a
mess in the house! I am fully
vaccinated, spayed, and micro-chipped.
I am a little bundle of love and a smart girl who ‘s still learning. I will do well in any household, especially with my continued obedience training and sufficient exercise. I am ready to love a very lucky family, and I hope that family is yours!

Paws Rescue Qatar is one of just a couple non-profit organisations in the nation dedicated to animal welfare. They help injured and abused strays by treating, rehabilitating and re-homing them, as well as helping abandoned pets. We live in a country that is rich by wealth, but in terms of compassion for animals and animal welfare- not so much. We often see racing, hunting, and fighting dogs discarded at the end of seasons. Often once loved pets are dumped when they are too big to carry in a handbag and are no longer a cute little puppy. Due to the stigma attached to owning pets in the country most of our animals travel overseas. It is very difficult to find good homes for street dogs in Qatar and oversees adoption tends to be their only chance at finding a loving homes and leading fulfilled lives. At present Paws Rescue Qatar has around 100 dogs and 150 cats at their shelter, with more in foster, vet clinics and on the streets. Although they can’t house and “save” them all they do provide food and vet care for many dogs living on the streets. They aim to raise awareness of animal welfare by educating the public on animal welfare and working with the government on TNR programs.
