GREAT NEWS….. Ricky has found his family and he couldn’t be happier!! Ricky’s former foster mom, Amber Green, made it official today and adopted Ricky. When I visited them today I was overjoyed to see how happy he was – he has definitely found the home he was destined to be in. Ricky is a rescue from Malaysia who was left to fend for himself when his owner died. Luckily MDDB stepped in and cared for him at their shelter for the past year. Ricky was depressed though and not doing well at the shelter. His depression days are over for good. The dog I saw today was confident, calm and full of joy. I watched him play with his K-9 brother Dubuque and lay at his mothers feet … Tail wagging and eyes never leaving her. It’s happy endings like this that make it all worth it!! Thank you Melinda Joy, Irene Low and Wani Muthiah of Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better for rescuing and caring for Ricky in Malaysia. And most importantly thank you to Ashby and Amber Green for making Ricky’s dreams come true!
Pre-Adoption Story
Ricky is a very sweet 4 year old male with a loving and calm demeanor. Ricky used to be a very happy dog however he has been depressed for the last year after his owner, a German man committed suicide and left his dogs to fend for them selves. Luckily Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better came to the rescue and scooped up Ricky and his other K-9 siblings. Ricky has been at one of MDDB’s shelters for the past year and is not adjusting well. I think he is still waiting for his owner to come back. He is a beautiful dog with a beautiful full coat of hair perfect for Midwest winters. He is approximately 45 pounds and is neutered. I visited him last November at MDDB’s shelter and immediately fell in love. He is with approximately 50 other rescues and when I asked the caretaker who his favorite dog was he immediately said Ricky. When I asked why he said because he is such a mild mannered good dog and very handsome.
Ricky is neutered, micro-chipped, and current on vaccinations.
Ricky is looking for his forever home –
