GREAT NEWS….. BRUNO IS HOME!!! Today Bruno joined Nevan Clark of Chicago, IL. Nevan’s girlfriend Lizzie was on site and gave a whole hearted approval.
Bruno is a rescue from the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and has had a rough start to life. Most likely someone’s pet who found himself put out on the streets to fend for himself. He was found in bad shape by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better and taken in for medical treatment. He has lived at their shelter for over a yea…r slowly loosing hope of finding his happiness. Luckily for him Wani Muthiah of MDDB was not going to give up – she so desperately wanted to see him happy and in a home that her organization sponsored his flight to come to the US and find his forever home.
Today his dreams came true and a wonderful new chapter begins. He was all smiles and tail wags as if he knew something magical was happening today and good things awaited him. The love and care in which Naren and Izzie gave him tells me he has found his place and he will be cherished and well cared for from now on. Today his destiny has been fulfilled.
Thank you Naren for opening your home and your heart to this very special dog.
Pre-Adoption Post
Bruno is a 4 and a half year old rescue from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, weighing approximately 75 pounds. Bruno was rescued with a very badly infested maggot wound on his paw early 2014 as well. He was rescued by an independent rescuer who then passed him to the rescue organization “Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better”. Bruno spent about 2 months admitted at the vet so that his wound could be dressed and cleaned daily. He recovered fantastically, is fully vaccinated and has been neutered. He is a very healthy dog now minus one less toe. Bruno is a very loving dog with a long thick coat of fur, which is not well suited for the hot tropical weather in Malaysia. His beautiful coat will be perfect for a colder climate such as Chicago.
Bruno has little to no chance of local adoption due to the fact that street dogs are not deemed suitable as pets in Malaysia and his size is very large for Malaysian standards.
Dawn Trimmel, ISDF Founder, visited Malaysia it was love at first sight. Bruno stole her heart instantly with his loving, calm temperament and soulful eyes.
Bruno is a happy go lucky chap who loves his toys. He gets along great with other dogs and all people, including kids.
Bruno is neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Bruno is cage trained.
Bruno will be arriving into Chicago on September 29th and is looking for his home.
