GREAT NEWS ….. Kailey is HOME!! Kailey is a DMT survivor from Thailand who arrived into Chicago just 2 days ago in search of her family.
Today her destiny was realized as she found her people and her place in the world with Haley Franker and Chris of Chicago, IL.
Kailey has had a very rough start to life being captured by the dog meat trade smugglers, surviving the overcrowded Thai governme…nt shelter, and living for over 2 years at Elfes World where over 600 dogs reside. Despite all this Kailey has a very loving, inquisitive and trusting temperament.
She is so deserving of a loving home and she has waited so long! I can’t imagine a better home then with Haley and Chris. They are prepared – having studied her past and care instructions, shopping to make sure everything was “ready” for their new baby and being super excited! All the ingredients for a happy ever after.
Haley and Chris were the third lucky adopters to receive a $25 PetSmart Gift card donated by Kat Nagler to help make Kailey’s welcome home extra special.

A big thanks to Christine Sudmann for fostering in Bangkok during their layover and arranging flight logistics for their journey to the US – this is no small task as there are permits to arrange and multiple trips to the airport with long wait times.

KAILEY – 3.5 yr old female, spayed
Kailey was rescued from the Dog Meat Trade in Thailand by the Elfesworld Rescue. Kailey has been with her buddy Bailey always and they love each other very much. Kailey is very loving with people, very easy and full of energy.
Kailey has been at Elfesworld Shelter for over 2 years and she is not cut out for the shelter life. She lives outside with over 600 other dogs and gets very little time with humans. She gets so excited when people come to see her and give her attention and you can see the spark fade and the sadness set in when you walk away. She longs for a home of her own. Being surrounded by so many other dogs makes her nervous and some of the bigger dogs have picked on her in the past. So she spends her days with Bailey but she needs more. She needs the love and companionship that only a family of her own can offer.
Founder, Dawn Trimmel had the opportunity to meet this special girl last April on a trip to Elfes World and this little girl stole her heart – it’s easy to see why – she’s cute as a button and oh so sweet. She was elated to have a visitor and gave lots of love during our brief visit. How wonderful will it be to see her dreams come true and for her to have the loving family she so deserves!
Kailey will be flying to Chicago to find her forever home on July 27th and we can’t wait to welcome her to the USA and help her to find her happy ever after.
