GREAT NEWS……Boksun …. now named Jayu is HOME!! Jayu was rescued from the horrific dog meat trade of S Korea! Today she joined David and Shelly Wolverton and daughter Genna of Waukegan, IL.
Jayu arrived yesterday from S Korea. David and Shelly were so excited to meet Jayu that they hardly slept the night before. Preparations were under way all day to properly welcome their new dog home. When they walked in the door the tears started to flow. It was such an emotional union.
Shelly informed me that they wanted to change her name to Jayu as it means freedom in Korean. What a wonderful life Jayu is going to have with the Wolverton’s – a more spoiled and loved dog will be hard to find!
Thank you to Seonae Du of Last Chance for Korean Dogs for rescuing this sweet girl and working so hard to give her this second chance. Most importantly thank you to the Wolverton’s for opening their hearts and home to this sweet girl.
You too can save a life.
Pre-Adoption Post
My name is Boksun and I am a rescue girl from S. Korea arriving January 12, 2018 into Chicago to look for my forever home.
I want to close my eyes. And I want to stop the thoughts of my sad past. My mother was slaughtered at a construction site and and there was a time I feared for my life too. But I am one of the lucky few who was rescued, brought to safety, given medical care and now I will be traveling soon to the great country they call the United States to find my forever home. I am a sweet 4 month old Jindo mix. I have been living in foster care in Seoul, S. Korea for the last 2 months and learning the ropes of life in the home. I love it and have been a star pupil. I am a quick learner and have lots of love to give.
