Yesterday she joined the family of Emily and John Faivre and their two lovely kids of Lake Forest, IL.
Emily and John’s dog passed away very recently and left a big hole in their family. They were not sure if they were ready to welcome another dog into their lives yet as they were still deeply mourning the loss of their dog. Then they saw Trixie and read her story…. they had to meet her. When they met her they knew that she would be the perfect dog to have join their family and they would all begin to heal together.
Thanks to Elizabeth Fengl of Elfes World in Thailand for rescuing Trixie and her two pups and giving them such good care in Thailand. If not for her this miracle could never have happened.
Most importantly thank you to the Faivre’s for welcoming Trixie into their home and heir lives.
You too can save a life.
Pre-Adoption Post
Hi, my name is Trixie
I had a rough start in life, like many other street dogs… I was born in Koh Samui, Thailand. I got pregnant when I was very young myself, and had two beautiful babies… the people who allowed me to stay close to their area and fed me some leftovers when they were in a good mood, well, they didn’t like puppies…probably thought they were too noisy…they took all 3 of us and dumped us in a well known dumping area for unwanted dogs, near an old pier by the sea, just like garbage…gosh, what a sad life for all those pups, fighting to survive, living on scraps, I was horrified for my babies and knew I had to get us out of there… I started to run towards the street as soon as I heard a car approaching, seeking for help, jumping and crying, doing everything I could to catch the attention of some goodhearted soul.…it took a while and my babies and I were getting weaker every day…but our rescuer showed up in time, in her car…she noticed me, she saw my babies following me… she must have realized immediatly the distress we were in and she saved us, all three of us…thank you.
This was in September 2017, just a few months back…my babies are beautiful young girls now, Saskia and Liah…they do not need me anymore, they have food, care and lots of friends. I can start thinking of myself now. And my dream is definitely a human family of my own… I need cuddles and walks and ball games… oh I love my dear rescuer very much, but she has rescued so many poor souls, I want some attention just for myself, does this sound selfish ? I hope not ?
I am approx 18 months old, spayed and healthy, I weigh approx 30 pounds. I am friendly, gorgeous and smart ( a little self praise doesn’t hurt) , playful, affectionate and active. If there is already a doggie brother or sister waiting for me, it would be great as I am used to having many dogs around me.
I dont have much but I will offer you my sincere gratitude and my friendship for life in return for a „doggie green card“ to your beautiful country.
Warm regards and hearty kisses
Yours,
Trixie
