My name is Princess, and even though I’m just a lowly Omani street dog, a native wadi dog, I have the noble beauty of a queen. My golden brown and white coloring is as pretty as any silk gown, and the white markings on my face form a heart that rests between my dark, lovely eyes. My circumstances, on the other hand, have not been pretty. I lived outside on my own for over a year, but currently I’m indoors with foster parents due to a gunshot wound I suffered. Unfortunately, the police do not take kindly to street dogs in the city of Sur.
Despite my rough start, I have never shown aggression towards people, even those that have treated me so cruelly. I may be a little shy at first, but I warm up quicky once I see you’re kind. I’m super gentle and sweet, and have been fostered with children and done very well. I am happy to share treats and beloved toys with my street dog friends, but as for cats, I’ll admit I love to chase them!
My time in convalescence has made me into a calmer and better-behaved dog. I’ve been learning potty training and how to walk on a leash, and I now know some basic commands. I love to be around people, especially if they are warm and caring. The human friends I’ve made on the Sur streets think it’s time for me and the members of my dog pack to find safe, loving, forever homes. My friends tell me that I deserve someone who will return the unconditional love I bestow so freely. I’m a healthy, young girl, already spayed and up to date on all of my vaccinations, and I’m ready to fly!
I dream of finding a safe, loving home, with a yard and room to play. I dream that I’ll be yours and you’ll be mine, and for the first time of my life, I feel like my dream is about to come true!
