GREAT NEWS !!!
Danny IS HOME with Marilynn Mee from Milwaukee, WI. Danny is a rescue from the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Danny was rescued by Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better.
Marilynn did a foster to adopt and has decided that Danny is a perfect fit to her family! Danny will be joining a K-9 sister named Josie. Marilynn is a huge advocate of rescue and works with many local Milwaukee rescue groups. She is a celebrity Milwaukee radio personality – she currently does the afternoon drive show for WKLH – Milwaukee’s classic rock station. She not only will make a great adopter and offer a wonderful life to Danny but she will also be a great advocate to help spread awareness on the plight of street dogs in Malaysia and around the world❤️
Danny has his favorite spot on the couch and has warmed up quickly to Marilynn and Josie. Although he is still an “anxious” dog he seems to be very happy and enjoying his new family and routine. With time, love, and patience he will continue to flourish and become more confident.
Thank you to all involved in Danny’s rescue and journey to happiness, especially Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better whom without his life would be very different right now. Most importantly thank you to Marilynn and Josie for welcoming Danny into your loving home and making his dreams come true!2.5 years old / neutered.

Danny’s Story …
Danny was wandering around a residential area alone in Petaling Jaya which is a suburban city in Malaysia. He was not more than three months old when he was spotted by a Good Samaritan who could immediately tell that the puppy would die a sad death soon if not removed immediately. He was covered in mange and the itch made him scratch so hard that it tore his skin and made him bleed. Although she did not have a place to put him, the Good Samaritan rescued the puppy and called ISDF’s rescue partner Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better (MDDB) and told them the sad plight of the puppy which was by now raw and bleeding. MDDB took him in immediately and admitted him to a veterinary clinic where he was given the necessary treatment to counter the mange. Once his skin became completely healed, Danny was vaccinated and neutered before he was put up for adoption.
When he was about 8 months old Danny was adopted by a family but the adoption did not work out because the family that took him in wanted a watch dog rather than a pet. Being a warm and loving pup, Danny became withdrawn and a shadow of his old self when MDDB saw him next. As MDDB’s main priority was to ensure all their rescues had a good life, Danny was removed from his adoptive family and rehabilitated until he returned to his old jovial and loving self. That was about a year ago, today Danny is a happy and gregarious young dog that will bring his adoptive family much joy and love.
Danny arrived Friday August 5th into Chicago from Malaysia. He flew with Hugo and ISDF gave them both a warm welcome to the US. Although Danny has only been here for a short while he is acclimating very well. He is sweet and loves to give kisses! He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He enjoys being in his cage and views it as his den. He is very attentive and will be your little shadow if you let him. He gets along well with all of our other fosters. He is still a little timid around new people and new sounds and environments make him a little nervous. He has become much more trusting and social since he has been here and will continue to gain confidence and trust with continued socialization. He is potty trained and has great house manners. He has journeyed a long way and waited a long time to find his place and his family. He will flourish in a loving home and he has so much love to give back!
