Halo and her mother, Mandi, lived on the grounds of the Nationak School of Drama in New Delhi, India where Mandi gave birth to Halo and her three siblings. Many students and staff cared for the little family. In December of 2014, New Delhi experienced a rare torrential rain, and Halo’s siblings perished in the resulting high waters. Mandi, an older mother, injured her own leg to save Halo by crawling under a box-office counter where the pup hid. In early February 2015, Halo joined a wonderful foster family for a short time and she was then adopted right away and was renamed Echo and has lived happily with her owner for the last 8 months. Unfortunately, she needs to be rehomed as her owner took a job with high travel and as such is not able to keep her. It’s unfortunate for Echo and her owner but she is young and will adapt and find the right permanent home. She is one of those dogs who sits and looks at you and listens. She would fit into any kind of home – with kids, with other pets.
Echo is inquisitive, sweet, and has a playful personality. She is very smart and has good house manners and knows basic obedience. She is strikingly beautiful with her large raised ears and lean body. She loves other dogs and enjoys nothing more than playing chase games. She would be ideal in an active family with another dog. Halo walks on and off leash and she listens and comes when called. In the car, she sits calmly and enjoys the car rides. Her owner shares that she is a “keen chaser” and that she absolutely loves water.
She is as special as the unique oval design – on her chest.
