GREAT NEWS… Hope is HOME! Hope arrived yesterday from India and went to her new home the same day. Hope was rescued with his brother Joy by Mini Seth. Mini spared them a life of hardship on the streets of New Delhi which most likely would have resulted in early deaths due to the dangers of heavy traffic among other dangers.
Instead….. today he joined her new family with Mark and Minerva Milford and their two lovely kids Anthony and Brittney of Palatine, IL. Mark and t…he kids were so excited to meet Hope and he immediately won them all over with his cute and loving demeanor. Anthony started training right away and Hope went from one set of arms to the next. Loving every minute of it. The whole family is looking forward to starting training with Hope soon and enjoying lots of fun adventures together this summer. They all
Asked many great questions and I can tell the whole family is up for the challenge and joys a raising a young puppy.
Mark tells me the first night went great and Hope slept through the night in his cage not making a peep until early am.
Thank you to all who have helped Hope on his journey especially Mini who without her help Hope would not have been given this second chance. The chance that millions of other street dogs in India are not given.
Most importantly thank you to the Milford family for welcoming Hope into their lives and making his dreams come true. I know you will all be very happy together!

Rescue Story
A young mother dog appeared in front of my house and chose a nearby drain to safely have her litter. She would come for her meals and then disappear into the drain to feed her kids. We don’t know how many pups were there, since she kept them deep in the drain. Luckily it was a dry drain and the weather supported them, no rains. Finally after about 10 weeks, we could hear noises at the exit point and 2 lil cute and healthy pups were spotted. Can’t imagine that they had not seen sunlight for the first 10 weeks of their life. It was evident that their Mom was feeding them well. As it was a deep drain, we started dropping some food for the pups, as the mother seemed troubled having to feed them all the time. Few days later both pups managed to emerge, and looked around in bewilderment. Hope(black pup) followed his mother and was lost for one entire day and night. Joy left alone kept whining in search of his mother and brother, and almost got run over by the fast and speeding traffic. We immediately picked him up and brought him home. Luckily Hope appeared next morning and could also be rescued. The only reason we rescue pups is because we know we have ISDF to help them with their forever homes and life of safety and security and love. Joy and Hope are now about 3 months, up to date on vaccines and deworming. They are healthy puppies, with a great deal of energy, and love playing with each other. They are being toilet trained and to walk on leash.
