My name is Naomi
I am one of the many stolen pets in Thailand. I ended up on a truck with hundreds of other dogs that would bring us to a horrible fate…it is called the illegal dog meat trade. Sometimes these trucks get stopped at the thai-laos border, because this trade is illegal as it’s name says. Our truck got stopped, phew… and we ended up in a government shelter, where hundreds of other dogs were already waiting for food, attention, care and love….we were far too many and there wasn’t always enough food for everybody, nor enough attention and care…forget love. For me, luck came in the shape of a gorgeous thai lady who took many pictures of many of us….and eventually I was among the lucky ones she took out of this crowded place. I was adopted by a kind angel who also runs a shelter, but a private one, on a beautiful island, and this time there was enough food and care and love for every single dog she rescued. This was indeed a lucky fate as I’m told 90% of dogs taken here died within a couple months due to the horrid conditions.
I arrived at Elfesworld on July 1st 2013, and have been there since then. I am well cared for, my tummy is always full, but recently my best friend Ming left us because she was adopted to a kind family in Canada…we arrived the same day and have been sharing a run ever since….don’t get me wrong, I am sooo happy for her ? ? she is living MY dream….a family of my own, daily walks, playtime, cuddle time, snuggling, exploring, and lots of attention….how wonderful would that be !!!!
I am a gentle, quiet and affectionate girl, between 5 and 6 years old now, spayed, vaccinated and healthy.
They say I got chubby lately…..pfffffft. Okay I admit, I could loose a few pounds….I must weigh around 40 pounds right now…. But that’s 40 pounds of love !! ?
I would be over the moon to be part of a loving family, and I hope I can become your best friend.
I will be in Chicago around January 20th, looking forward to meet you. If you are interested in adopting me please fill out an adoption application and call Dawn at 414-426-4148.
Yours, Naomi.
