Happy Tail
GREAT NEWS….. DOT … AKA RANI….IS HOME!! Dot went home today with Cassidy Wagner of Chicago and a beautiful new union has begun. This was one of the most joyous adoptions I have been a privilege to be a part of. The sheer joy was evident on both of them. Dot and Cassidy had a very special chemistry and it was as though they had always been together and she had always lived in her home. Dot was so relaxed, all tail wags and ready to give kisses. Dot pawed at her tennis ball like a cat and even napped with it next to her head. Cassidy couldn’t take her eyes off of her and I knew she was so excited to start their life together. It’s moments like this that make rescue work so rewarding. Dot is among the luckiest dogs .. Given her grim start to life born to the harsh streets in New Delhi, India where survival is slim to none for young puppies. Dot was fortunate to come under the angel wings of Aarti Bhardwaj who saved her life and cared for her for the last several months in New Delhi. And then another stroke of luck … Simmi Harding offered to fly with her and her brother to Chicago and Isobel Grant offered to sponsor her flight cost!!! Teamwork and the selfless giving of many came together to give Dot a new chance at life. Nothing short of a miracle. Tonight I witnessed her destiny come to fruition. Thank you Cassie for making Dot’s dream come true.

GREAT NEWS……. RAJA IS HOME!! Raja’s long journey is over – yesterday he joined Liz Cervantes and Eric of Fort Wayne, IN. Raja is a rescue from the streets of New Delhi, India. He was dumped with his siblings outside of Happy Paws Boarding facility at just 5 weeks old. The pups were in bad shape when found suffering from malnourishment. Aarti Bhardwaj the owner of Happy Paws took them in and nurses them back to health. She cared for them for 4 plus months hoping for a better future. Unfortunately for the pups the chances of local adoption were slim to none. Luckily more angels appeared in their life – Simmi Harding and Isobel Grant – who helped to make the dream a reality … A chance for a fulfilled happy life with a loving family! The chance to come to America to find their forever homes! Thank you Simmi, Aarti, and Isobel!!! Liz and Eric had been searching for the right dog to add to their family. They came across Raja’s pictures and fell in love. They made the long drive to Chicago to meet him and after spending some time with him at VIPs Pet Hotel – knew he was the one. Raja now has his own family and a yard to play in.

Liz tells me that his first night went very well. He settled in perfectly and even remained calm when a bad storm passed through causing them to loose electricity for several hours. He sat in the window and watched the lightening. He slept soundly through the night. A wonderful new beginning. Thank you to all who have helped Raja and especially Liz and Eric for opening your hearts and home to this special boy.

Pre-Adoption
Raja (short for maharaja, which means ‘king’ in Hindi) and Rani (short for maharani, which means ‘queen’ in Hindi) are two adorable 6-month-old, siblings who have never known the joys of a home life with forever people. But they hope to soon…

Handsome Raja and beautiful Rani, who look like small doberman mixes, were actually dumped in a trio of puppies when they were just a mere 5 weeks old outside a boarding facility in New Delhi, India. They were thin and sickly-looking and had not so much as a note with information to their name.

Tragically, Raja and Rani’s littlest sister could not be brought back from the brink of malnutrition, and passed away shortly after being dumped. However, under Arti’s careful guidance and care at Happy Paws Medical Boarding in New Delhi, India, both Raja and Rani not only survived – but after treatment, nutritious food, supplements, and tons of TLC – thrived!

They have lovely, sweet temperaments. They adore human attention and are very affectionate. They enjoy the company of other dogs and love to play fetch (although still working on the retrieve part) and chase games.
Both are very sweet, smart, quite affectionate, easy-temperament, mild-mannered puppies.

Both dogs are current on vaccinations, micro chipped, and spayed and neutered.

This adorable pair flew to Chicago on July 3rd to find their forever homes.
