My Name is Sadie!
I’m a 3 year-old beauty from Vietnam, and when you look into my kind eyes and see my bright
smile, you’d never guess what I’ve been through– I’m a survivor! My guardian angel rescued me
from a dog catcher’s motorbike in the knick of time, as I was on my way to being sold for
someone’s dinner. Through grace, I am flying to Chicago in mid-September, and my greatest
hope is that you will make me part of your family!
Even before the dog catcher snatched me away, I suffered from human abuse, malnutrition,
and common ailments of the subtropical climate. After receiving attention and care from the
Vietnam Rescue Group and sponsored veterinary treatment, I am now healthy and vibrant, with
a beautiful red coat with black shading. My friends call me by a Vietnamese name meaning
“sweet pet” because I am such a love, and also by my pretty American name.
I’ve been living with 20 other Dog Meat Trade (DMT) survivors and two big pigs, but I would be
over the moon to be your one and only. I wouldn’t mind a dog sibling either, and cats don’t
bother me too much, but I like my space when I am trying to sleep or getting attention. I’m
already housetrained and spayed. My dream home is with active adults and sensitive older
children, with a yard where I can run around. I love to play fetch and go on walks, and– I must
confess– I really enjoy digging too! I appreciate it when people handle me gently, and use care
when putting on my leash, as sometimes the past cruelty I experienced still haunts me. Show
me only kindness from this point on, and I promise to reward you with a lifetime of irresistible
smiles and sweet devotion!
I will be arriving into the USA Mid September 2017.
