My name is Sara. I’m an adorable, 6 month old wadi dog puppy from Muscat, Oman. In April a restaurant owner saw a tiny puppy outside all alone in front of the mall that housed their cafe. That tiny puppy was me! The woman brought me home, and kept me locked in the bathroom most of the day and night for three weeks. The woman’s husband grew angry at my lonesome wails from behind the bathroom door, and their big dog wanted to eat me, so the woman told Nada she was going to have to put me back out on the street. Nada swooped in and put an end to that bad plan, and brought me to her own animal-filled house to foster.
At Nada’s I haven’t cried at all, because I always have plenty of company. I love playing with toys and with the other puppies and dogs at Nada’s house, and am always on the go. I’m a very sweet puppy too, and if you’ll let me, I will happily shower you with puppy kisses! My foster mom Nada says you’ll fall for my silky ears, ginger-and-cream coat, and heavy sprinkling of freckles—I’m a petite and darling girl! My spotted belly is pretty delectable too!
When Nada surprised me with the news that I could soon fly to the U.S., I was shocked, but immediately barked, “Yes! Send me! I’m ready!” I’m up to date on vaccinations and already spayed, and I travel light. I am currently fostered in downtown Chicago and I am doing great. I have great house manners and so much love to give. I am great with kids and love all people and other dogs.

Our rescue partner, Omani Paws, is a group of passionate volunteers working together to improve the lot of street dogs and cats in Oman, and by adopting through ISDF, you can help them fulfill their mission. The wadi dogs we have placed so far have proven to be excellent family dogs; they are social, athletic, intelligent, and very loving towards adults and children alike. Some of these puppies are currently being fostered in households with cats, too.
