GREAT NEWS…. Sweet Veronica is home with Eric and Danyell Franz of Oregon, WI. Veronica was rescued from the streets of Oman and yesterday her dreams came true.
Danyell and Eric fell in love instantly with this sweet girl. And the love was mutual. Veronica now has a K-9 sister named Rochelle whom is such a loving and well mannered dog – a perfect companion and role model for young Veronica.
Thank you to Nada and Varsha of Omani Paws for saving this sweet girl and Elke of Al Qurum Veterinary Clinic for vetting Veronica. Most importantly thank you to Eric, Danyell and Rochelle for welcoming Veronica into your loving home!
Pre-Adoption Post – Veronica
Hello! My name is Veronica. I am a 4 month old Omani Wadi Dog, the local street dog from the Middle-Eastern country of Oman. There are a lot of dogs like me who live here, but we are not well liked. The government does not have any programs to help us, and we get shot if people complain about stray dogs. Friendly dogs like me are at more risk, because we approach humans.
A kind lady was looking out for me and my siblings. We love people, so we were rescued and taken to foster homes. I was fostered in Oman with a lovely foster family with 17 other dogs and 4 cats! My foster parents are a little crazy :). I learned the beauty of living in a home and how kind humans can be. What a joy! I am very well socialized and love to play. I have a lot of energy and I have a few foster siblings that I spend all my time with. I do like to cuddle up next to my foster mom and fall asleep.
I am now ready to find myself a family, so that they can get my undivided love. My best friend, Toffee is coming with me too, so I am not nervous about my journey and am looking forward to my new adventure. Could you be the family that I am looking for? I have traveled a long way to find you!
Veronica is fully vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped.
Veronica currently weighs approximately 20 pounds and likely to be medium sized dog when fully grown – probably 35-45 pounds.
Veronica enjoys life and loves to spend time with humans – both adults and kids. She eats up any and all attention and will quickly become your shadow. She also was fostered in Oman with 3 cats and gets along well with them. If you are willing to invest the time and energy needed to train and exercise a young dog then I can guarantee you this little one will reward your efforts 100 fold.
