I will never forget the first time that I met Izzy in person! It was a cold, rainy November afternoon and Izzy’s sweet dark eyes looked so worried! I was surprised at how small she was, her legs are so short, but her face just has so much character, her eyebrows always expressing curiosity. For such a tiny fur ball , she has the biggest personality I’ve ever seen.
I just want to thank everyone at International Street Dog Foundation who rescued Izzy for our family, because I can’t imagine my life without this furry little creature sleeping by my bedside every night. And I want to say that every dog deserves a chance, because Izzy was a wreck when we first met, but the thing about broken animals is they always strive to be whole and are accepting of positive change. They’re very adaptive creatures- and Izzy is proof of this. I will never know what all she has been through, but I know that she is the happiest, sassiest little dog who inspires everyone she meets.
My life is better every day that I see my little Izzy happy. We’re fortunate to have found each other.
