Chicago Opens it’s Heart and Homes to S Korean Dog Meat Trade Rescues

Chicago is an awesome city for many reasons. Too often we get bad press and so I am delighted to share this wonderful news on Chicago welcoming 60 dogs rescued from the dog meat trade of S Korea! This article sheds light on the wonderful heart of Chicago. Today, I am proud to live here. These dogs were once destined for a horrific death to end up on dinner plates. Now they have wonderful futures awaiting them with lots of love!

Hats off to these three Chicago-area rescue groups — Magnificent Mutts & Meows Rescue, based in Hillside; Animal House Shelter in Huntley; and Chicago French Bulldog Rescue, based in Wilmette.

  1. Is there any way we can volunteer for any of these rescue groups or with the dogs that were rescued? Would love to offer my time and help for such a beautiful cause/story.
