Lucy’s a.k.a Honey’s Happy Tail

An update from Lucy’s, now Honey, mom Krystal Blesi, in her words; we quickly established our new routine in November and I think Lucy feels very much at home with us. Holidays and family gatherings brought her to Minnesota 3 times in November and December!  Although being in a house with 30ish people was intimidating, she did well by sticking close to us. We’ve bonded deeply and Lucy is doing well learning basic commands.  She knows how to sit, stay, lie down, and paw the door. I’m amazed at how little time it took her to learn these things – she is a smart pup for sure! She’s still shy around dogs when she first meets them, but when given the chance, she goes into play mode pretty quickly (assuming they are on this same wavelength). Her favorite dog is actually a 90 lb. Rottweiler mix! She has absolutely no problems with her crate and she runs right in for a special treat.  She sleeps all night like the little angel that she is! I always knew that I wanted a dog, but what Lucy has given me is more than I ever imagined.  She makes me smile, she makes me laugh, and she actually makes me not want to go to work so that I can stare at her face all day.  In addition, Patrick and I have become closer through our love and commitment to caring for her.  She has truly been an absolute blessing. Thanks again to ISDF for everything. You have changed our lives in the best way, and the support that you offer is nothing short of amazing.
