Meet Mr Billy No No….
Rescue story written by his rescuer Melinda Joy.
Mr Billy No No, is probably the type of fellow every grandma dog would want her puppy girl to bring back home to the kennel. Sweet, smart and well behaved, Mr Billy No No was found waiting patiently outside a grocery store at an upmarket neighbourhood called Bangsar in Kuala Lumpur. It appeared he was waiting for someone and after observing him for a couple of hours, a kind-hearted lady decided that she wanted to rescue him. But she had no space for him at home and she contacted MDDB for help. MDDB offered to take Mr Billy No No the following day and asked the kind lady to arrange his accommodation just for the night. Desperate, she approached an elderly man who had come to the store to get his groceries and asked him if he would be able provide Mr Billy No No a place to stay for the night. Luckily the man agreed and Mr Billy No No was taken to the kind gentleman’s home. Being young and curious, Mr Billy No No went on a sniffing spree throughout the house, and fearing that the young dog would break something, the kindly man, without realising it, uttered far too many NO NOs to stop him from loitering around too much. The following day at MDDB’s place, the rescue group’s volunteers realised that Mr Billy had been indoctrinated into believing his new name was No No. He answers to Billy or No No – so his name became Mr Billy No No. The poor chap is loving and very generous with his doggie kisses. He’s also easy going and would fit in with anyone.
