I am Sheelu.

I am a puppy who was rescued off the streets of New Delhi, India, along with my sister Ladlee. We are the sole survivors of our family – my mother died trying to procure food for us when we were tiny newborns. Two of our siblings also perished, despite every attempt to keep them alive. But we not only survived – we thrived.

Now we are flying all the way to the USA to find homes. Our chances of adoption in our home nation are slim, and our chances of survival, if returned to the streets – now that we have been socialized and fostered and adored since almost birth – are basically nil. We are making this long journey because we know that at the end of it lies a pot of gold, at least in our books: a real family, a real home, and a real LIFE – forever!
