Tuesday, September 22, 2015 Port Edwards Restaurant in Algonquin featured ISDF at their “Dine and Rescue” event. Port Edwards is a wonderful seafood restaurant with a lovely outdoor patio on the beautiful Fox River. Port Edwards believes in giving back and helping rescues. Every Tuesday and Thursday during the summer months they donate a percentage of patio dinner proceeds to a local rescue. This last Tuesday ISDF had the honor of being featured. ISDF had a booth set up on the patio to raise awareness about ISDF and the plight of street dogs around the world. KC, a rescue from Thailand’s dog meat trade was on site and received much TLC from the staff and patrons. It was a beautiful evening and many of the patrons stopped to meet KC and learn more about ISDF. A fun time was had by all. Thank you Port Edwards for welcoming us and for helping support the rescues!!! A special thanks to the staff on site who made us feel very welcome and gave lots of love to KC – Rosie, Melissa, Carrie and more.
