GREAT NEWS…. Sweet Amandine is HOME!!
Amandine joined Sharon Dickey and her family in Elgin, IL. She is a rescue from Tunisia who has waited a long time for a loving family.
Her new family showered her with love from the initial greeting and I have no doubt that she will be pampered and loved immensely every day of her life from now on…. as it should be.
Sharon wants to make up for all the hardship she has experienced and give her the environment to flourish and reach her potential. Thank you Sharon and all of your wonderful family members.
Thank you to Azza and Yasmine Malalk of Yasmine Azaiez Animal Rescue for making it possible for Amandine to be given this second chance. Also to Moez Jelassi for rescuing this sweet girl from the streets of Tunisia over 2 years ago and making sure she was safe until now. Angels on earth. Nothing but the deepest respect and gratitude to you all.

Pre-Adoption Rescue Post
Amandine – will be arriving in early June and has a home waiting for her…
AMANDINE – Rescue story as written by her rescuer Yasmine of Azaiez Animal Rescue.
Amandine was rescued from Tunisia. She was abandoned by her owners who moved away a year ago! Amandine didn’t lose hope by following every stranger who walked by in hope that they were her family. She was seen scavenging in the bins every day desperate to find some food, and kept trying to find her owners and get some affection but nobody cared. This rescuer saw her daily on her way to work and after some time couldn’t bear to see her suffering any more. She picked her up and placed her in the ‘Second Chance’ animal shelter! Amandine has been waiting for her chance to find a family for the past two years.
it is hard to believe that Amandine sat in a shelter for over 2 years and no one adopted her! She is an absolutely beautiful girl with a wonderful loving temperament. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. Hence is the dilemma for a dog in Tunisia. Pet ownership is not widespread and people that do welcome a dog into their household typically don’t adopt from the shelters or adopt street dogs. It is a very sad situation – you can see why the chances survival let alone of finding a home is slim to none for most Tunisian street dogs. Almadine is one of the lucky few who will go on to live a happy fulfilled life by coming to the US for adoption.
Amandine will be traveling in May to Chicago. If you are interested in adopting her please contact us at info@istreetdog.com You can find our adoption application here.
